Newry and Mourne Women is a voluntary organisation of women from the Newry & Mourne area who have an interest in community development and women's issues.

It was formed to examine the needs of women in the Newry & Mourne area and at assist women's groups in the community to address these needs in a manner that is supportive, empowering and promotes advocacy.

The organisation was established in 1999 with 23 Affiliated Member Groups and 200 individual members ranging in age from 18 to 80. A voluntary Committee of 11, which are elected at our Annual General Meeting annually, manages it.
